Lectotype selected by Collette 1974:59 [ref. 12930]. •Valid as Hyporhamphus neglectus (Bleeker 1866) -- (Collette 1974:58 [ref. 12930], Parin et al. 1980:31 [ref. 6895], Kottelat et al. 1993:86 [ref. 23448], Collette 1999:2195 [ref. 24785], Collette in Randall & Lim 2000:599 [ref. 25122], Collette 2004:9 [ref. 27583], Kottelat 2013:291 [ref. 32989]). Current status: Valid as Hyporhamphus neglectus (Bleeker 1866). Hemiramphidae. Distribution: Western Pacific: Philippines, Borneo and East Indies. Habitat: marine.
