Current status: Valid as Ichthyococcus irregularis Rechnitzer & Böhlke 1958. Phosichthyidae. Distribution: Eastern Pacific: Monterey (central California, U.S.A.) south to Colombia, including Galapagos Islands (Ecuador). Habitat: marine.
