Current status: Valid as Ilisha sirishai Seshagiri Rao 1975. Pristigasteridae. Distribution: Indo-West Pacific: Persian Gulf and Gulf of Oman east to western Indonesia, north to Gulf of Thailand. Habitat: brackish, marine.
