Holotype (unique): USNM 141980. •Valid as Isocirrhitus sexfasciatus (Schultz 1960) -- (Randall 1963:421 [ref. 3599], Myers 1999:119 [ref. 23965], Randall 2001:3325 [ref. 26128], Randall et al. 2004:13 [ref. 27624], Randall 2005:176 [ref. 28239]). Current status: Valid as Isocirrhitus sexfasciatus (Schultz 1960). Cirrhitidae. Distribution: Western Pacific. Habitat: marine.
