Species originally published in Japanese in above reference, later illustrated and described in more detail in English and Japanese in Tanaka 1918:510, Pl. 136 (fig. 380) [ref. 6037]. •Valid as Kanekonia florida Tanaka 1915 -- (Poss & Eschmeyer 1978:405 [ref. 6387], Nakabo in Masuda et al. 1984:319 [ref. 6441], Motomura & Iwatsuki 1997:133 [ref. 23963], Poss 1999:2358 [ref. 24796], Nakabo 2000:602 [ref. 25086], Nakabo 2002:602 [ref. 26001], Johnson 2004:181 [ref. 27781], Johnson 2013:405 [ref. 33137]). Current status: Valid as Kanekonia florida Tanaka 1915. Synanceiidae: Aploactininae. Distribution: Western North Pacific: Japan. Habitat: marine.
