Current status: Valid as Kraemeria merensis Whitley 1935. Gobiidae: Kraemeriinae. Distribution: Australia. Habitat: brackish, marine.

Paratypes: CAS-SU 52002 [ex USNM 51784] (1), USNM 51784 (1 of 2). Type catalog: Koumans 1940:124 [ref. 2676]. Possible holotype (based on length) is larger specimen in USNM 51784. •Synonym of Kraemeria samoensis Steindachner 1906 -- (D. Hoese & H.K. Larson data). Current status: Synonym of Kraemeria samoensis Steindachner 1906. Gobiidae: Kraemeriinae. Habitat: brackish, marine.

Syntypes: (many) NMW. Described as Kraemeria sandvicensis in the abstract [ref. 20596] that appeared first but was not included in the main work; K. samoensis was not mentioned in the abstract but included in the main work. Current status: Valid as Kraemeria samoensis Steindachner 1906. Gobiidae: Kraemeriinae. Distribution: Red Sea, Indo-West Pacific: Madagascar east to Marshall Islands, Fiji and Samoa. sandvicensis, Kraemeria Steindachner [F.] 1906:338 [Anzeiger der Kaiserlichen Akademie der Wissenschaften, Wien, Mathematisch-Naturwissenschaftliche Classe v. 43; ref. 20596] Samoa. Syntypes: (several) whereabouts unknown. Described as a new species in the above abstract, but not listed in the main paper (Steindachner 1906 [ref. 4242] where samoensis was used). The abstract appeared first according to Kottelat (2013). The specific name samoensis is prevaling usage.. •Synonym of Kraemeria samoensis Steindachner 1906.
