Described by Sauvage as above. •Questionably valid as Labribarbus siamensis (Sauvage 1881) -- (Kottelat 1984:801 [ref. 11440]). •Valid as Labiobarbus siamensis (Sauvage 1881) -- (Roberts 1994:325 [ref. 22596], Kottelat 1995:428 [ref. 22833], Doi 1997:7 [ref. 22832], Kottelat 2001:58 [ref. 25780], Taki et al. 2021:155 [ref. 39830]). Current status: Valid as Labiobarbus siamensis (Sauvage 1881). Cyprinidae: Labeoninae. Distribution: Southeast Asia: Chao Phraya and Mekong River basins, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam. Habitat: freshwater.

Type catalog: Monkolprasit 1969:5 [ref. 23217], Monkolprasit 1969:8 [ref. 25088]. •Valid as Dangila spilopleura Smith 1934 -- (Rainboth 1996:110 [ref. 22772], Kottelat 2001:58 [ref. 25780]). •Valid as Labiobarbus spilopleura (Smith 1934) -- (Freyhof et al. 2000:95 [ref. 25184]). •Synonym of Labiobarbus siamensis (Sauvage 1881) -- (Kottelat 2013:118 [ref. 32989]). Current status: Synonym of Labiobarbus siamensis (Sauvage 1881). Cyprinidae: Labeoninae. Habitat: freshwater.
