Unneeded replacement for Nannacara Miranda-Ribeiro 1918 (not an original description), regarded as preoccupied by Nannacara Regan 1905 in fishes. Perhaps Parvacara is not available from Whitley 1951 on technical grounds as it is not technically a replacement name and must stand on its own as a generic description. •Apparently a senior synonym of Laetacara Kullander 1986.
