Current status: Valid as Lampadena atlantica Maul 1969. Myctophidae: Lampanyctinae. Distribution: North Atlantic. Habitat: marine.

R.] 1963:29, Figs. 1-2 [Copeia 1963 (no. 1); ref. 5134] 5.7 miles north of Ship Rock, Santa Catalina Island, southern California, U.S.A., 33°32'N, 118°25'W, about 700 meters over 850 meters. Holotype: LACM 6843-6 [ex AHF 2589].
