Holotype (unique): USNM 75768. •Questionably a synonym of Bolinichthys photothorax (Parr 1928) -- (Paxton 1979:6 [ref. 6440], Hulley & Duhamel 2010:283 [ref. 30745]). Current status: Uncertain as Bolinichthys photothorax (Parr 1928). Myctophidae: Lampanyctinae. Habitat: marine.
