Type catalog: Böhlke 1953:32 [ref. 12291], Gilbert 1998:42 [ref. 23395]. Many of the paratypes are hybrids between Lavinia exilicauda and Hesperoleucas symmetricus (see Gilbert 1998:42 [ref. 23395]). SU 22490 has 47 specimens, not 12 as listed in Gilbert 1998:42. •Synonym of Lavinia exilicauda Baird & Girard 1854, subspecies harengus Girard 1856 -- (Gilbert 1998:42 [ref. 23395], Page & Burr 2011:158 [ref. 31215]). Current status: Synonym of Lavinia exilicauda Baird & Girard 1854. Leuciscidae: Laviniinae. Distribution: Pajaro and Salinus rivers, California [this subspecies]. Habitat: freshwater.
