Appeared first (and unavailable) in Hopkirk 1968:414 [ref. 2198] without distinguishing features. •Synonym of Lavinia exilicauda Baird & Girard 1854, but a valid subspecies as described -- (Lee et al. 1980:199 [ref. 22416], Gilbert 1998:58 [ref. 23395], Scharpf 2005:21 [ref. 28940], Page & Burr 2011:158 [ref. 31215]). •Mention -- (Moyle 2002:136 [ref. 26449]). Current status: Synonym of Lavinia exilicauda Baird & Girard 1854. Leuciscidae: Laviniinae. Distribution: Clear Lake, California [this subspecies]. Habitat: freshwater.

Appeared first (and unavailable) in Hopkirk 1968:414 [ref. 2198] without distinguishing features. •Hybrid between Lavinia exilicauda chi x Orthodon microlepidotus -- (Gilbert 1998:88 [ref. 23395]). Hybrid. Leuciscidae: Laviniinae. Habitat: freshwater.
