Holotype: MNHN 0000-4014. •Valid as Piabucina erythrinoides Valenciennes 1850 -- (Taphorn & Lilyestrom 1980:335 [ref. 30064], Weitzman & Weitzman in Reis et al. 2003:246 [ref. 27061]). •Valid as Lebiasina erythrinoides (Valenciennes 1850) -- (Taphorn 1992:468 [ref. 23654], Ardila Rodríguez 1999:[5] [ref. 25624] as erytrinoides, Ardila Rodríguez 2001:[10] [ref. 25626] as erithrynoides, Ardila Rodríguez 2008:21 [ref. 30121], Netto-Ferreira et al. 2011:773 [ref. 31718], DoNascimiento et al. 2017:44 [ref. 35633], Urbano-Bonilla et al. 2018:85 [ref. 35773], Netto-Ferreira 2024:382 [ref. 40817]). Current status: Valid as Lebiasina erythrinoides (Valenciennes 1850). Lebiasinidae: Lebiasininae. Distribution: South America: Lake Maracaibo basin and along coast of Andes, northwestern Colombia, and Venezuelan llanos, Colombia and Venezuela. Habitat: freshwater.

Current status: Synonym of Lebiasina erythrinoides (Valenciennes 1850). Lebiasinidae: Lebiasininae. Habitat: freshwater.
