Subjectively invalid; secondarily preoccupied in Lepomis by Lepomis notata Rafinesque 1820. •Synonym of Lepomis microlophus (Günther 1859) -- (Gilbert 1998:244 [ref. 23395], Boschung & Mayden 2004:459 [ref. 27995]). 2°Homonym. Current status: Synonym of Lepomis microlophus (Günther 1859). Centrarchidae: Lepominae. Habitat: freshwater.
