On p. 12 of separate. Species originally spelled as Mülleri, change mandatory. Type locality erroneously given as Cleveland Bay, Townsville, Australia by Steindachner 1878:388 [ref. 4226]; locality was apparently confused when specimen was sent on loan to F. Steindachner. •Valid as Leptobrama muelleri Steindachner 1878 -- (Allen & Swainston 1988:92 [ref. 25477] as mulleri, Allen 1997:144 [ref. 23977] as mulleri, Larson & Williams 1997:362 [ref. 23967] as mulleri, Johnson 1999:738 [ref. 25471], Hutchins 2001:35 [ref. 25847], Mooi 2001:3210 [ref. 26112], Hoese & Bray 2006:1280 [ref. 29000], Larson et al. 2013:153 [ref. 32988], Kimura et al. 2016:[3] [ref. 34189]). Current status: Valid as Leptobrama muelleri Steindachner 1878. Leptobramidae. Distribution: Western Pacific: northern Australia and southern New Guinea. Habitat: freshwater, brackish, marine.
