wilderi, Lampetra Gage [S. H.] in Jordan & Evermann 1896:13 [Bulletin of the United States National Museum No. 47; ref. 2443] Cayuga Lake, western New York, U.S.A. No types known. Authorship is perhaps Jordan & Evermann (ex Gage). •Synonym of Lampetra appendix (DeKay 1842) -- (Smith 1986:40 [ref. 22186]). •Synonym of Lampetra lamottei (Lesueur 1827) -- (Scott & Crossman 1998:64 [ref. 24570]). •Synonym of Lampetra appendix (DeKay 1842), but a valid subspecies -- (Fuller et al. 1999:19 [ref. 25838]). •Valid as Lethenteron wilderi (Gage 1896) -- (Holčík 1986:227 [ref. 24819]). •Synonym of Lethenteron appendix (Lesueur 1827) -- (Page & Burr 2011:129 [ref. 31215], Renaud 2011:68 [ref. 31770] witrh question).
