Current status: Valid as Limnotilapia dardennii (Boulenger 1899). Cichlidae: Pseudocrenilabrinae. Distribution: Eastern Africa: Lake Tanganyika and Lukuga River. Habitat: freshwater.

loveridgei, Pelmatochromis Borodin [N. A.] 1931:51 [Proceedings of the New England Zoölogical Club v. 12; ref. 16260] Lake Tanganyika at Ujiji, Kigoma, Tanzania. Holotype (unique): MCZ 32563. Also described as new in Borodin 1936:24, Pl. 1 (fig. 3) [ref. 13684]. •Synonym of Limnotilapia dardennii (Boulenger 1899) -- (Trewavas 1946:242 [ref. 35931], Maréchal & Poll 1991:247 [ref. 20946]). Current status: Synonym of Limnotilapia dardennii (Boulenger 1899). Cichlidae: Pseudocrenilabrinae. Habitat: freshwater.
