Original genus should have been Leiocassis. •Valid as Leiocassis hirsutus Herre 1934 -- (Burgess 1989:70 [ref. 12860]). •Valid as Bagroides hirsutus (Herre 1934) -- (Burgess 1989:71 [ref. 12860]). •Species inquirenda in Bagridae -- (Ferraris 2007:107 [ref. 29155]). •Possibly in Tachysurus -- (Cheng et al. 2021:312 [ref. 38402]). Current status: Uncertain as Tachysurus hirsutus (Herre 1934). Bagridae. Distribution: Zhu-Jiang basin, Guangxi Province, China [if valid]. Habitat: freshwater.
