Holotype (unique): CAS 86572. •Valid as Lucifuga inopinata Cohen & McCosker 1998 -- (Nielsen & Cohen in Nielsen et al. 1999:123 [ref. 24448], Møller et al. 2006:24 [ref. 28699], McCosker & Rosenblatt 2010:190 [ref. 30957], Møller et al. 2016:Appendix A [ref. 34432] in Bythitidae). •Probably in another genus -- (Hernández et al. 2020:18 [ref. 37642]). Current status: Valid as Lucifuga inopinata Cohen & McCosker 1998. Bythitidae. Distribution: Eastern Pacific: Galápagos Islands. Habitat: marine.
