Type catalog: Bertin & Estève 1950:59 [ref. 19575] as syntypes; technically the figured specimen is the unique holotype, Ferraris 2007:334 [ref. 29155]. Name available from plate, description in Valenciennes 1847:7 [ref. 5010]. Pl. 1 was published in 1835. pati, Silurus Larrañaga [D. A.] 1923:376 [Escritos de Don Dámaso Antonio Larrañaga v. 2; ref. 22561] Uruguay. No types known. Perhaps not intended as new; corresponds to Silurus 11-radiatus on p. 386. Appeared as Silurus pati vel 11-radiatus in Devincenzi 1925:322, 308 [ref. 20322]; Devincenzi treated as a synonym of Luciopimelodus pati (C. V.) [= Pimelodus pati Valenciennes 1835]. •Synonym of Luciopimelodus pati (Valenciennes 1836) -- (Lundberg & Littmann in Reis et al. 2003:437 [ref. 27061], Ferraris 2007:335 [ref. 29155], Litz & Koerber 2014:19 [ref. 33622], Mirande & Koerber 2015:31 [ref. 35117], Grant 2021:75 [ref. 38702]). Not treated by Ferraris 2007 [ref. 29155] or in Eschmeyer et. all 1998.
