Evidently intended as catenatus (Roberts 1989:181 [ref. 6439]). See erratum, p. 360 (Kottelat 2013). •Status uncertain, same as Mastacembelus eruthrotaenia Bleeker 1840 -- (Roberts 1989:181 [ref. 6439]). •Declared a nomen oblitum by Kottelat amnd a synonym of erythrotaenia -- (Kottelat 2013:313 [ref. 32989]). Current status: Synonym of Mastacembelus erythrotaenia Bleeker 1850. Mastacembelidae. Habitat: freshwater.
