Current status: Synonym of Sinibrama macrops (Günther 1868). Xenocyprididae. Habitat: freshwater.

wui, Chanodichthys Rendahl [H.] 1933:105 [Arkiv för Zoologi v. 24 A (pt 4) (no. 16) (1932); ref. 3703] Kiating and Suifu, China. Syntypes: Metropol. Mus. Nat. Hist. 1702 (1), 2102 (1). Primary homonym of Chanodichthys wui Lin 1932. See also Sinibrama wui typus Yih & Wu 1964: [ref. 13499]. The name Sinibrama wui Rendahl is considered valid (but see Xie et al. 2003). If considered distinct, the name S. wui (Rendahl 1933) should be replaced by Sinibarbus typus Yih & Wu 1964 (but see that account as well). •Synonym of Megalobrama macrops (Günther 1868), but a valid subspecies -- (Bănărescu 1970:134 [ref. 20609]). •Valid as Sinibrama wui (Rendahl 1933) -- (Yih & Wu 1964:109 [ref. 13499], Ding 1994:196 [ref. 21531], Zhu 1995:35 [ref. 25213], Luo & Chen in Chen et al. 1998:142 [ref. 23878], Tang et al. 2001:12 [ref. 25373], Xie et al. 2003:407 [ref. 27550], Kottelat 2013:163 [ref. 32989] but uncertain, Zhang et al. 2016:64 [ref. 34477]). 1°Homonym.
