Distribution: Indo-West Pacific and central Pacific: Indonesia east to Solomon Islands, north to Philippines, south to New Caledonia and Vanuatu. Habitat: freshwater, brackish, marine.

Type catalog: Böhlke 1953:93 [ref. 12291], Ibarra & Stewart 1987:64 [ref. 12367]. •Synonym of Meiacanthus anema (Bleeker 1852) -- (Smith-Vaniz 1976:83 [ref. 4144], Kottelat 2013:383 [ref. 32989]). Current status: Synonym of Meiacanthus anema (Bleeker 1852). Blenniidae: Blenniinae. Habitat: freshwater, brackish, marine.
