Current status: Valid as Microdesmus dipus Günther 1864. Gobiidae: Microdesminae. Distribution: Eastern Pacific. Habitat: brackish, marine.

Holotype (unique): LACM 21031 [ex AHF 916]. •Synonym of Microdesmus dipus Günther 1864 -- (Grove & Lavenberg 1997:562 [ref. 24023]). Current status: Synonym of Microdesmus dipus Günther 1864. Gobiidae: Microdesminae. Distribution: Eastern Pacific. Habitat: marine.
