Current status: Valid as Lophocampus brevidorsalis (de Beaufort 1913). Syngnathidae: Nerophinae. Distribution: Western Pacific: Indonesia east to western Caroline Islands and Fiji, south to New Caledonia. Habitat: freshwater, brackish, marine.
