Holotype (unique): BSMP 1412 (apparently destroyed). •Synonym of Crenimugil heterocheilos (Bleeker 1855) -- (Thomson 1997:510 [ref. 23428] as heterocheilus, Kottelat 2013:275 [ref. 32989]). Current status: Synonym of Crenimugil heterocheilos (Bleeker 1855). Mugilidae. Habitat: freshwater, brackish, marine.
