Holotype (unique): BSMP 31950 (presumed destroyed). •Valid as Mugilogobius luzonensis Roxas & Ablan 1940 -- (Akihito in Masuda et al. 1984:268 [ref. 6441]). •Questionably a synonym of Mugilogobius chulae (Smith 1932) -- (Larson 2001:109 [ref. 25522]). •Questionably a synonym of Mugilogobius fuscus or chuae (Herre 1940) -- (Larson 2001:123 [ref. 25522], Kottelat 2013:413 [ref. 32989]). •Could be a Pseudogobius -- (Larson & Hammer 2021:78 [ref. 38276]). Nomen Dubium. Oxudercidae: Gobionellinae. Habitat: brackish.
