Current status: Valid as Mugilogobius tigrinus Larson 2001. Oxudercidae: Gobionellinae. Distribution: South Asia, Southeast Asia: southern India and Sri Lanka east to Peninsular Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore. Habitat: brackish, marine.
