English description on p. 111. •Valid as Nemacheilus polytaenia Zhu 1982 -- (Zhu 1989:61 [ref. 17744], Zhu 1995:111 [ref. 25213], Chen & Zhang in Chen 1998:58 [ref. 23556]). •Valid as Schistura polytaenia (Zhu 1982) -- (Chen & Neely 2012:226 [ref. 32332], Kottelat 2012:115 [ref. 32367], Kottelat 2013:210 [ref. 32989], Endruweit 2014:359 [ref. 33494], Zhang et al. 2016:134 [ref. 34477], Chen et al. 2020:100 [ref. 38014]). Current status: Valid as Schistura polytaenia (Zhu 1982). Nemacheilidae. Distribution: Upper Irrawaddy River basin, Yunnan Province, China. Habitat: freshwater.
