Holotype: AMS I.17689-001. Paratypes: AMS I.17689-002 (4), I.17690-001 (1), I.17691-001 (1). •Valid as Neoglyphidodon carlsoni (Allen 1975) -- (Allen 1991:246 [ref. 19344], Allen 2001:3344 [ref. 26132], Randall et al. 2004:20 [ref. 27624], Randall 2005:371 [ref. 28239], Parenti 2021:67 [ref. 38418]). Current status: Valid as Neoglyphidodon carlsoni (Allen 1975). Pomacentridae: Pomacentrinae. Distribution: South Pacific: Fiji endemic. Habitat: marine.
