Paratypes: CAS-SU 22723 (1). •Probably a synonym of Notothenia tessellata Richardson 1845 -- (Regan 1916:379 [ref. 40111]). •Synonym of Patagonotothen longipes (Steindachner 1875), but a valid subspecies -- (Lloris & Rucabado 1991:119 [ref. 22530]). Current status: Synonym of Patagonotothen longipes (Steindachner 1875). Nototheniidae: Nototheniinae. Habitat: marine.
