Original genus should have been Hypsolepis. •Synonym of Notropis chrysocephalus (Rafinesque 1820) -- (Gilbert 1964:158 [ref. 12397], Gilbert 1978:46 [ref. 7042] or based on a hybrid). •Possible hybrid between L. c. chrysocephalus and Luxilus cornutus (Mitchill 1817) -- (Gilbert 1998:85 [ref. 23395]).
