Lectotype established (as figured specimen) in caption to Pl. 49, p. 3241 in Jordan & Evermann 1900 [ref. 2446]; lectotype also designated by Gilbert 1978:58 [ref. 7042]. •Hybrid between Notropis cornutus x Notropis rubellus -- (Gilbert 1978:22, 58 [ref. 7042]). •Hybrid betwen Luxilus cornutus x Notropis rubellus -- (Gilbert 1998:108 [ref. 23395]). Hybrid. Leuciscidae: Pogonichthyinae. Habitat: freshwater.
