Paratypes: SIO 61-184 (8), 65-185 (2), 65-286 (4), 65-330 (5), 65-335 (2); USNM 375544 (6), 375549 (6); ZMUC P771390-92 (3). •Valid as Ogilbia nigromarginata Møller, Schwarzhans & Nielsen 2005 -- (Page et al. 2013:96 [ref. 32708], Møller et al. 2016:Appendix B [ref. 34432] in Dinematichthyidae, Love et al. 2021:85 [ref. 39279], Page et al. 2023:111 [ref. 40505]). Current status: Valid as Ogilbia nigromarginata Møller, Schwarzhans & Nielsen 2005. Dinematichthyidae. Distribution: Eastern Pacific: western and central Gulf of California (Mexico) endemic. Habitat: marine.
