A) [ref. 2011]. •Synonym of Oncorhynchus masou (Brevoort 1856) -- (Berg 1948:198 [ref. 12882] as masu). •Synonym of Salmo masou Brevoort 1865, but a valid subspecies -- (Kawanabe & Mizuno 1989:169 [ref. 25598]). •Synonym of Oncorhynchus masou (Brevoort 1856), but a valid subspecies macrostoma (Günther 1877) -- (Araga in Masuda et al. 1984:38 [ref. 6441] as macrostomus). •Synonym of Oncorhynchus rhodurus Jordan & McGregor 1925, but a valid subspecies macrostoma -- (Dorofeeva & Savvaitova 1998:31 [ref. 23574] as macrostomus). Current status: Synonym of Oncorhynchus masou (Brevoort 1856). Salmonidae: Salmoninae. Habitat: freshwater, brackish, marine.
