lacrymans, Cheilinus Valenciennes [A.] in Cuvier & Valenciennes 1840:109 [Histoire naturelle des poissons v. 14; ref. 4882] Molucca Islands, Indonesia. Lectotype: RMNH 2179. Paralectotypes or non-types: RMNH D1203 (1, dry), D2180 (1, dry).
