Paratypes: BMNH 1960.10.3.1 (1), CAS-SU 54224 (1), USNM 190569-71 (1, 2, 3). •Valid as Paracirrhites xanthus Randall 1963 -- (Randall & Earle 2000:12 [ref. 25806], Randall 2001:3325 [ref. 26128], Randall 2005:179 [ref. 28239], Delrieu-Trottin et al. 2015:6 [ref. 33988]). Current status: Valid as Paracirrhites xanthus Randall 1963. Cirrhitidae. Distribution: Western Pacific. Habitat: marine.
