Current status: Valid as Paraclinus mexicanus (Gilbert 1904). Labrisomidae. Distribution: Eastern Pacific: southern tip of Baja California Sur (Mexico) south to Ecuador, including Cocos Island (Costa Rica). Habitat: marine.
