Current status: Valid as Paragaleus longicaudatus (Bessednov 1966). Hemigaleidae. Distribution: Indo-West Pacific: Persian Gulf and Gulf of Oman east to South China Sea, north to Taiwan. Habitat: marine.

Specimen in original drawing is THUP 1802, which should be considered as holotype (Ho & Shao 2011:18 [ref. 31432]).
