Holotype (unique): MNHN 0000-5087. On p. 5 of separate. Apparently described independent of Guichenot in Dabry de Thiersant 1872. Objectively invalid; preoccupied by Paramisgurnus dabryanus Guichenot 1872. •Valid as Paramisgurnus dabryanus Sauvage 1878 -- (Cheng & Zhou 1997:201 [ref. 26385], Wang et al. 2001:180 [ref. 26566]). •Objective synonym of Paramisgurnus dabryanus Guichenot 1872 and based on same type specimen -- (Kottelat 2012:40 [ref. 32367]). •Objective synonym of Misgurnus dabryanus (Guichenot 1872). 1°Homonym. Current status: Synonym of Misgurnus dabryanus (Guichenot 1872). Cobitidae. Habitat: freshwater.

oligolepos, Misgurnus Chen [J.-Y.], Shen [Y.-Y.] & Li [G.-L.] 1994:20 [Modern Fisheries Information v. 9 (no. 8); ref. 38245] Tanggu area, south of the mouth of Beitang River, Tianjin Municipality, China. Holotype: 880902. Possibly appeared as new in Li 1993 [ref. 27517], not examined. If Li 1993 is not available, then the species dates to Chen, Shen and Li 1994:20 as above. •Synonym of Paramisgurnus dabryanus Guichenot 1872 -- (Kottelat 2012:40 [ref. 32367]). •Synonym of Misgurnus dabryanus (Guichenot 1872). Current status: Synonym of Misgurnus dabryanus (Guichenot 1872). Cobitidae. Habitat: freshwater.
