Distribution: Indo-West Pacific: Oman; Myanmar and Java, Indonesia east to Vietnam and the Philippines. Habitat: brackish, marine.

Bleeker specimens: (7) NMV 46287 (1); RMNH 6777 (some of 6), 26749 [ex 6777] (now 6). Originally as Blochii. Lectotype selected by Menon 1980:16 [ref. 6798] as RMNH 17879 has no status. Not an independent species description, but an unneeded replacement name for Pleuronectes bilineatus Bloch 1787 (see Kottelat 2013:765 [ref. 32887]).
