Paratypes: (28) BMNH 1982.3.29.107-108 (2); CAS 49307 (7, 2 c&s); MZB 3422 (1), 3423; USNM 230238 (6); ZMA 116531. •Valid as Pectenocypris balaena Roberts 1989 -- (Kottelat et al. 1993:42 [ref. 23448], Doi 1997:10 [ref. 22832], Kottelat & Widjanarti 2005:153 [ref. 28284], Tan & Kottelat 2009:47 [ref. 30261], Kottelat 2013:140 [ref. 32989], Wibowo et al. 2016:138 [ref. 34796], Ahnelt et al. 2019:7 [ref. 37025]). Current status: Valid as Pectenocypris balaena Roberts 1989. Danionidae: Rasborinae. Distribution: Borneo. Habitat: freshwater.
