Paratypes: SAIAB [formerly RUSI] 64638 (4), 64639 (7). •Valid as Physiculus cyanostrophus Anderson & Tweddle 2002 -- (González et al. 2010:219 [ref. 36922], Iwamoto & Cohen 2016:1997 [ref. 34586], Pires et al. 2019:79 [ref. 36974], Fermon et al. 2022:197 [ref. 39448] possible). Current status: Valid as Physiculus cyanostrophus Anderson & Tweddle 2002. Moridae. Distribution: Eastern Atlantic: Mauritania south to Angola, including Cape Verde Islands. Habitat: marine.
