Plus non-type material. •Valid as Polynemus aquilonaris Motomura 2003 -- (Motomura 2004:9 [ref. 27601], Motomura 2004:81 [ref. 27970], Motomura & Tsukawaki 2006:462 [ref. 28914], Kottelat 2013:355 [ref. 32989], Yoshida et al. 2013:152 [ref. 34464], Kang et al. 2017:[3] [ref. 35524], Taki et al. 2021:383 [ref. 39830]). Current status: Valid as Polynemus aquilonaris Motomura 2003. Polynemidae. Distribution: Southeast Asia: Chao Phraya and Mekong River basins, Thailand, southern Laos, Cambodia and South Vietnam. Habitat: freshwater, brackish.
