Current status: Valid as Pomacanthus rhomboides (Gilchrist & Thompson 1908). Pomacanthidae. Distribution: Western Indian Ocean: Western Cape, Eastern Cape and southern KwaZulu-Natal (South Africa) and Madagascar. Habitat: marine.
