Paratypes: USNM 141308-09 (1, 10). •Valid as Chrysiptera traceyi (Woods & Schultz 1960) -- (Allen 1991:243 [ref. 19344], Myers 1999:182 [ref. 23965], Allen 2001:3343 [ref. 26132] as trayceyi, Allen & Bailey 2002:42 [ref. 26525], Myers & Donaldson 2003:633 [ref. 27495], Randall et al. 2004:20 [ref. 27624], Allen et al. 2015:18 [ref. 33797], Parenti 2021:63 [ref. 38418]). Current status: Valid as Chrysiptera traceyi (Woods & Schultz 1960). Pomacentridae: Pomacentrinae. Distribution: Western Pacific: Philippines, Caroline Islands (Federated States of Micronesia) and Marshall Islands. Habitat: marine.
