Type catalog: Post 1972:156 [ref. 20860]. •Valid as Uncisudis advena (Rofen 1963) -- (McEachran & Fechhelm 1998:602 [ref. 23897], Nakabo 2000:368 [ref. 25086], Nakabo 2002:368 [ref. 26001], Menezes et al. in Menezes et al. 2003:51 [ref. 27192], Moore et al. 2003:196 [ref. 27076], Thompson 2003:934 [ref. 27003], Fukui & Ozawa 2004:293 [ref. 28076], Prokofiev 2017:643 [ref. 35721], Page et al. 2023:93 [ref. 40505]). Current status: Valid as Uncisudis advena (Rofen 1963). Paralepididae. Distribution: Probably circumglobal in tropical and subtropical seas (including Hawaiian Islands), but except eastern Pacific. Habitat: marine.
