Current status: Synonym of Pterygotrigla arabica (Boulenger 1888). Triglidae: Pterygotriglinae. Habitat: marine.

Current status: Valid as Prionotus miles Jenyns 1840. Triglidae: Prionotinae. Distribution: Eastern Pacific: Galápagos Islands. Habitat: marine.

Current status: Synonym of Prionotus rubio Jordan 1886. Triglidae: Prionotinae. Habitat: brackish, marine.

Type catalog: Mead 1958:134 [ref. 20648]. •Status uncertain, based on a juvenile -- (Miller & Richards 1991:761 [ref. 15981]). •Valid as Prionotus teaguei Briggs 1956 -- (Bussing & López S. 1994:84 [ref. 23101], Bussing in Fischer et al. 1995:1648 [ref. 22830]). Current status: Valid as Prionotus teaguei Briggs 1956. Triglidae: Prionotinae. Distribution: Western Atlantic (Costa Rica). Habitat: marine.
