Current status: Valid as Pseudamia amblyuroptera (Bleeker 1856). Apogonidae: Pseudamiinae. Distribution: Western Pacific: Singapore and Indonesia east to Palau, Yap Island and New Ireland (Papua New Guinea), north to Philippines. Habitat: brackish, marine.

Bleeker specimens: RMNH 5610 (1 of 2) Singapore; RMNH unknown (1) Ambon. Based on a color painting in the Zoological Museum, University of Liège (see Russell et al. 2010:94 [ref. 30735]). •Valid as Pseudamia polystigma (Bleeker 1860) -- (Paxton et al. 1989:556 [ref. 12442]). •Synonym of Pseudamia amblyuroptera (Bleeker 1856) -- (Randall et al. 1985:5 [ref. 9188], Allen et al. 2006:1106 [ref. 29004], Russell et al. 2010:95 [ref. 30735]). Current status: Synonym of Pseudamia amblyuroptera (Bleeker 1856). Apogonidae: Pseudamiinae.
