Current status: Valid as Pseudamia amblyuroptera (Bleeker 1856). Apogonidae: Pseudamiinae. Distribution: Eastern Indian Ocean, western Pacific: Singapore and Riau Islands (Indonesia) east to Palau, Yap Island and New Ireland (Papua New Guinea), north to Philippines. Habitat: brackish, marine.
